Pardon me while I continue to ride the euphoric wave of my Adam Lambert concert this past Friday in San Francisco, because I’m still blogging about it. Well, sort of.
I saw an interview done by SF station Movin997 in which the interviewer did a great job asking fun questions that Adam is usually not asked in interviews, such as “When your album goes platinum soon, whatcha drinkin’? I posted the link on Twitter and I think I got a few people excited thinking it was ME doing the interview (since they knew I went to the SF show)!! I only wish I had that kind of cred! But it got me thinking…if I got to be some lucky blogger/fan that had the opportunity to interview Adam, what in the heck would I ask The Glam One? Assuming I wouldn’t be totally flailing all over the place, it could possibly be a funny interview.
BUT, then I saw THIS interview by Sandy Stec that had me rolling on the ground in laughter (not really, but I did LOL in my chair). This woman who is a radio DJ/aspiring talk show host got to interview Adam and she totally stole my line of questioning…
Number one, she said she was nervous to ask this question, but it’s very close to her heart. Adam said; “Please ask” and she said: “TEAM EDWARD OR TEAM JACOB?!!!!!” HAHAH! (That biyotch stole my #1 question!)
Because Adam is awesome, he didn’t just go with the typical choice. He said, “Based on the book, TEAM JACOB!” (Oh how I love thee, let me count the ways…) Sandy pushed it further, “Based on vanity, Team Edward or Team Jacob?” Once again, he chose Jacob. Then, she makes a statement about swooning over a 17-year old Taylor Lautner and Adam corrects her by saying that he’s actually 18 now!! These are details that an uber busy pop star like Adam might not have time to know, but he pays attention to “Twilight” just like MEEEEEE, thus, reason #896 why I love Adam Lambert.
The third question she asked that she stole right out of my brain was something to the effect of; “Would you ever get drunk and make out with a woman?” His answer: “I do all the time.” (Reason #897) And this is what made me laugh so hard, because there’s a brief moment (at 3:50 in the video) where she looks at Adam like she’s thinking, “Oh wait, maybe he’ll make out with me right now!”You can tell at the exact same moment Adam is having the realization that maybe she thinks he’d make out with her, and he goes; “No, I’m not drunk right now. Totally sober. But you’re gorgeous.” LOL! Just that pause and the simultaneous thoughts that they both must’ve been having cracked my ass up!
She also asked about how unglamorous touring is and what he eats on tour. Both questions I’ve wondered myself, because A) touring seems like it would get really monotonous and B) he looks to be in great shape, so what’s his secret?
Aside from the “Twilight” related questions, the possibility of Adam being with a woman, the monotony of touring, and his exercise/diet plans, other questions I’d ask would go something like this...
1.) Adam, would you say that your live performances are more sexual and envelope-pushing when, let’s say, you're on the West Coast than, let’s say, Indiana?
2.) Once you conquer the pop music world, what would you like to do next? What’s your next challenge? (And don’t be modest!)
3.) Me thinks you would look magnificent on the silver screen. The camera just loves you! Would you consider being a leading man someday? And if so, what’s your genre of choice? (Fantasy, thriller, rom-com, who done it?)
4.) What do you make of the Elvis comparisons? I notice the pompadour hairstyle… Are you playing it up? (And if this is a conscious thing, I love you even more!)
5.) Outside of singing or writing music, what are your hobbies? Are you a movie buff? An avid reader? Do you play video games? (Need a visual of you in sweatpants with a book, remote control, or Guitar Hero instrument!)
6.) *Bonus question* – speaking of lounging, what is your lounge wear? Lady Gaga says she’s ALWAYS in Gaga mode – never a slouch. Do you hang around your house in a tee and sweatpants, or do you have leather pants tattooed on your ass?
I could go all day. You see, I feel like I already know enough about his current music career. I wanna know what Adam wants for his future and what he’s into as a regular guy – although we know Adam is anything but regular! It’s the way I was with my Elvis fascination back at age 14. I read all about his music career, and then I wanted to know the man.
What would you ask Adam if you had the chance? And it’s perfectly acceptable to ask him to make out with you or perform the “Fever” dance solo in front of you. You get points for being creative!!
