The countdown to BREAKING DAWN begins....

Here we go.....and it begins...... the Breaking Dawn countdown is officially underway.

The press junket began this past weekend in Paris with Rob and Ashley (Edward & Alice) doing promo. We should be flooded with daily photos and interviews straight through 'till NOVEMBER 18 - ahhhhhhhhh!!!

Yes, hawt.

I did have plans with girlfriends to go to Vegas and see Breaking Dawn at the Palms IMAX with cocktail(s) in hand, but then real life got in the way - you know the stuff: husbands, work, kids, family - whatevs.

Now I am dragging my husband to the midnight showing.

Let's move past my major resentment of the "real life" buzz kill. I know I can move forward....right? It's only a movie - RIGHT - RIGHT?

OK, gaze a bit longer if you must, we still have to wait 23 more days, 552 hours, etc.

I am a raging mess of anticipation these days. I was anxiously awaiting Sept 15 for my sequel to "Fify Shades of Grey" when on Sept. 13 (yes, I recall the date exactly) the Fed-Ex guy came to the screen door and says; "Hey looks like I have a book delivery for Colleen". I nearly knocked him flat to grab the box and rip it open with my human teeth. He was gone before I looked up, cardboard hanging from my mouth. "Fifty Shades Darker" was here!!

I went into reading coma - no food, wine only - no talking - stop asking me questions, Jeff - no sleep - just Christian and Ana and Pinot. I was not disappointed. EL James knows how to do a trilogy. Ana and Christian pick up right where they left off - no catching up needed. I love that. The story moves quickly - hard limits soften, contracts become "mute", and Ana can nuzzle Christians chest hair - I know - we've all been waiting.

I quickly fired off two reviews off to Goodreads and Amazon. True to form EL responded promptly - she is just great! It turns out; we will have to wait until "...around the first of the year..." for the final installment. I have personally encouraged her to look toward holiday gift giving and release this Mother earlier -- a little stocking stuffer, if you please. In the meantime, show EL James the love and buy your copies in hardback or kindle and I'll see you at the midnight show of BREAKING DAWN - 11;55 pm sharp 11/17/11!!!!

Can't believe BD is fast approaching! The wait has been too long. Hope your hubby is a good enough movie partner for such a monumental event!! ;)

Can't wait for the final instalment - even though I know how it goes....somehow holding a book instead of clasping my laptop makes me feel less pervy? "Ahhh....she's reading a book....it's literature....let's leave her alone" instead of "she's always on that damn laptop!....log off once in a while".

As for BD...can't believe it's almost here. Seems as if we've been waiting for eva....oh, wait WE HAVE! I will see it a couple of days after release in the afternoon when it's just me and a few others in the theater. That way I will actually hear the dialogue and get to swoon in peace. I sure hope it's good.

How do people feel about waiting another entire year for BD2 Why, oh why so long? Shooting is done....does CGI take that long? Is Scummit that greedy? People have short attention spans and may lose interest. Some of the young people I know are already lukewarm about BD Part 1....do they have the patience for BD Part 2 or is it only us old farts?? Whaddya think?

Especially since "Hunger Games" & both Snow White movies will steal the thunder. They should release BD 2 in the summer. It's greed...but I'll still be drooling all the way to 2012 - Damn Scummit.

I think a year and a half to have to wait for BD 1 after Eclipse has really hurt the momentum of the franchise. They want to drag out the hoopla and $$$ for as long as they can, but I personally can say that the loooooooooong wait has definitely affected my exuberance. Yes, having a baby will def distract a person, sure, but I just think after a while, as a blogger, you run out of things to write about if one of your primary topics was Twilight! And then to wait ANOTHER YEAR for part 2, I'm sorry, but I hope I care by then. I read that Eclipse didn't make as much money in June and Scummit was scambling thinking it was a mistake to open the movie any other time then the money month of November, which seemed to work well for both Twi & New Moon. People move on, ya know? You can only read the books so many times. You can only watch the DVDs so many times. It's really annoying and totally greedy of them to wait another year. You know that movie is already done being edited. It'll just sit on the shelf for a year totally done. LAME LAME LAME!

Any chance Scummit may "surprise" us and release BD2 earlier or do you really think they'll wait an entire year? By the time it's released you can take your daughter to see it for crying out loud!! Maybe it's time for us all to move on?

Oh who am I kidding....just when I think I'm done with it I see new trailers, or stills or pictures of RPattz in Europe and I'm sucked back in again.....grrrrr!!
