I’m still struggling to find time to blog with a now 6 week old baby, but thankfully, we’ve got Colleen, our resident FanFiction speed reader, back to sulk about her deep, deep ‘Fifty’ void and how it reinvigorated her FanFiction reading! So of course, she’s sharing her recommendations with you! Take it away, Colleen!

I have been missin’ Bella and Edward/Ana and Christian of “Fifty Shades of Grey” so much; I was starting to feel “like a crazed newborn in Seattle.”  The thirst was becoming unbearable, until a voice said to me “There’s another way….”

Yes, True Blood is hot, the Sookie, Bill and Eric trio are great…..but, I NEED my fix, and it aint a vial of “V.”   

I needed a plan....

I re-read “Fifty Shades of Grey” by  EL James – and argh – that didn’t help, in fact “that initial taste set the frenzy in motion.” 

I went over to TWCS – publishing house and pre-ordered my copy of “A Darker Shade of Grey”, due out September 15.  But it wasn’t enough…..

I realized I was using quotes from the Twilight series of books and movies in my everyday language.  I called family back east to check on Hurricane Irene by saying “How you liken’ that rain Arizona?” Of course, my cousin answered “Hello, who is this?”  Thankfully everyone is good, and happy it’s over.   

I needed to make a long drive for a work appointment, and my husband told me to drive carefully.  I responded with; “Of all the things about me that could frighten you, you worry about my driving?”  He did the Ana Steele eye roll, and I almost fainted.  My daughter had a successful job interview and wanted to send a Thank-you note to her prospective new employer.  I suggested something not so “traditional”, maybe something like: “I enjoyed our interview and feel this position is exactly my brand of heroin.”  She sighed and hung up on me. 

This was getting bad.  Then I had my answer – FanFiction!

I recommend:  Fridays at Noon by troublefollows1017. Loved this, it helped.  Quirky, smart Bella and businessman Edward – same recipe as many others, but still loved it. 

Sex Gods and the Single Girl by bannerday is an on-going fic with updates every week.  And so far, so good.  It’s a steady diet to help with the cravings.

I’ll be your Lover Too by EdwardsBloodType – I am only a few chapters into this, but “hard always hard” so far…..

I have a feeling I will survive – it may be ugly, but the countdown to BREAKING DAWN is on 76 days till Nov. 18 & this…

Are you having a “hard” time focusing till Nov. 18???
